As another member said, theses rifles may sometimes be deeply discounted
Only reason for that is because we are not a European market! Not enough over here know the true value of these types of firearms, hence the dealers sit on them for way too long.
Heck I ran across a new in the box ruger #1 stainless, with the laminated stock that sat in the dealers inventory for about 5+ years, before I came along. Was a steal of a deal on my part, and the dealer finally moved a rifle they sat on way too long.
I'd love to have this rifle in my safe, but this is not a usable caliber for me right now. Yes I know that I could easily swap the barrel, but the cost of replacement barrels is just not in the books right now. I have eyed these 404's and the blazers for years, and have dreamt about owning one for a long time.
A rifle platform that has an easy way to quickly and accurately swap barrels for multiple caliber has always intrigued me. The European market has perfected it, as they are limited to how many rifles they can own, hence the need to multi caliber set ups.
