Not quite correct. As of Sept. 1, 2024, firearms barrels and handgun slides are also controlled. You do not have to get an Authorisation to Transfer, but you DO need to verify that the recipient has a valid PAL.The law has not changed.
A firearm is and has long been the receiver. Nothing else is controlled.
FWIW so are the magazines since 2023Not quite correct. As of Sept. 1, 2024, firearms barrels and handgun slides are also controlled. You do not have to get an Authorisation to Transfer, but you DO need to verify that the recipient has a valid PAL.
And with each and every Liberal regime as our Overlords the anti everything screw keeps getting turned down tighter.FWIW so are the magazines since 2023
25.2 of https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/f-11.6/fulltext.html
25.1 (1) speaks of the requirement to have a license to get 'firearms parts'
And what a firearm part is is defined in the criminal code directly

With wording that anything can be prescribed as a part, so the list of parts requiring a license can be expanded by decree any time.
Only things not to be considered parts are slides and barrels for antiques... So they could if they wanted to declare cylinders for all guns - parts, requiring one to have a license for antique cylinders too
(mad cackle)
But for now all parts he asked for can be legally sold![]()
You tried the handgun parts forum or the prohibited 12.x? Both would be appropriate, both appear to be working for others...Have a few small Luger P08 parts but site wouldn't let me post them ?
