Not your grandpa's .22 LR.

The CCI Uppercut was purpose-engineered for maximum terminal performance from a .22 LR — featuring a segmented hollow point that reliably expands even at rimfire velocities. Whether you're running it through a trail gun, a small game setup, or keeping it close to home, this is the round that takes the .22 LR seriously.

✅ Caliber: .22 LR
✅ Bullet: 32gr Segmented JHP
✅ Rounds: 50
✅ Brand: CCI

$15.95 | 20 in stock

I see these are optimized for short barrels. I have a norinco jw with the 13 inch barrel. What affect would the longer barrel have on performance ?

If I remember correctly out of longer barreled firearms caused the velocity to increase far beyond what the bullet was designed for. The impact mushrooming effect would break all of the pedals off causing most of the energy to dump in the initial wound cavity and to be not as advertised on gel tests, however adding denim to those same gel blocks seemed to make the wound cavities larger and the pedals stayed intact. These results could be different from shot to shot, some bullets disintegrate, some mushroom well, some won't.

It seems like if you shoot these out of anything much longer than 4" barrels they will not mushroom and penetrate as well as they would out of shorter barreled pistols. They seem to dump all of their energy unless they are slowed down somehow.

Lots of videos showing this on YouTube.

Keep in mind, they are designed for self defense in small handguns.
