Where to find older peep sights

I have been converting some of my older firearms to peep sights. And am curious were you guys found your peep sights. I have had luck online but there getting harder to find i am finding out.

I always look at gun shows for these. I see a post this week on the EE with 10 sights by a fellow named Ranman. Not all peeps mind you. Brownells ships to Canada as well.

I have just been looking for a vintage one for my model 94 winchester but have had no luck.

There's a guy on here who specializes in Winchester sights. I'll try to find his name and let you know. Is it tang or receiver you're seeking?

I found some Williams peep sights at Epps awhile back to retrofit a couple of my rifles. There seem to be models to fit various brands.

Ah okay. The fellow I was thinking of is Wild Bill Hickock and you can use the search function to find him and send a message. He might be out of it now. I'll also ask my buddy who's a bit of a sight collector...

vintage you mean a tang sight or a receiver sight lyman and williams have been making the model of sights for 94's since the turn of the century and earlier marbles also
tang sights as well
i you mean you want one of those sight with the vintage look then you have to look all over the north america because tang sights did not come on factory rifles either special order for the gun or as you are doing now buying from the sight manufacture
winchester and marlin did not make there own sights

When I was looking for tang peep for my 1892 I was taken care of by Rusty wood trading out of BC

The old steel Lyman's were hard to find 20 years ago, long before the current lever action craze.
If you see one at a fair price jump on it,

The newer style Lyman 66 Receiver peep sights shouldn't be to hard to order online.

EBay has been good for finding peep sights. Just have to keep checking as new stuff gets put up. My Lee Enfield peeps have mostly come out of New Zealand or Australia. Recently found 2 Central peeps for the SMLE’s in NZ. Couldn’t find them in Canada. Winchester sights do show, you just have to grab them when they show.

Give WGP a try. I just ordered a Lyman receiver site from them for an old Marlin lever.
