Savage never seems to get any love.

They make affordable guns that always work and have allowed many people to get into guns at ½ the price of comparable Brownings, Winchester, Remington etc

What's your opinion on the savage axis?

save your money and buy a REAL lever 22, Winchester 9422 or Marlin 39,THEN you'll really have something you'll love,be a thing of beauty you can pass on to your kids,yes,it is more money,but it's money well spent,those 2 firearms will APPRECIATE in value,while all other options will lose value,more money,yes,but it's money you'll get back if you did decide to sell them,

Just picked a couple of these up, they do not cycle shorts at all

Pretty nice little plinker, not a 9422 for sure and not as well made as the savage Revel but it does look better IMHO, a good little gun for the money, you can see that it definitely has a lot of winchester influence on the build. Doesnt feel or look turkish a bit
