The new 2-12 mil reticle is basically the same dmx reticle which is in their 1-8.
Theres a YouTube videos by superset ca that shows a nightforce 1-8 on 2 power up to 8 power to give an idea of what to expect the new reticle to look like.

It’s not a better scope - it’s a more affordable scope than the NX8. It’s a bit cheaper generally to build a 6x erector system compared to an 8x.
Everything the same specifications (glass, tube thickness) except for the erector system? Hmm, sounds good.

I can't 100% vouch for everything being the same - but I'd hazard a guess to say a lot could be similar, or fairly similar. It was hard to see a major difference side-by-side in the hall they had them.

Hey Robbie did you get a chance to look at the reticles? I’m curious if the illuminated dot on the 4-24x50 4A-i is daylight visible. Is it comparable to leupold’s firedot in brightness and thickness of the wire? Thanks.

JohnL, I did look at them but ONLY inside a hall at SHOT Show in Las Vegas and again in a hall at IWA in Germany - they are bright, but hard to tell HOW bright they would have been outside in sunlight.
