Wet or dry tumblers

OP - I have both - Frankford Arsenal Wet Tumbler with steel pins - I got a couple boxes of .338" 200 grain "Solid Base" - I believe that is fairly old stuff - in metal reinforced corner factory bullet boxes. I had read that Nosler knew of an issue with the glue leaking out from those bullets and apparently "rectified" the issue - the acrylic pointy tip was glued in there - bothered me a bit to see that on about 50% of those bullets - so I tried to scrape it off - did not work - I tried to use dry lizard litter in the wet tumbler - did not work. Finally, I got a FrankFord Arsenal vibratory dry tumbler and tried that with some FrankFord Arsenal media - that might have got about 50% of the 50% of the bullets to look okay - I pretty much gave up on that, but I got some "really" shiny bullets out of all that!!!

Watching and as a new reloader, is washing (wet or dry) your brass absolutely necessary?

I seen a video once where Erik Cotina stated he never washes brass.

Your dies will thank you for feeding them clean brass.

Lubed up gritty brass will end in tears eventually

I used to dry tumble, but now I wet tumble, it's way quicker, and gets cases clean inside and out.

Wet tumbling cannot be beaten for how clean it can get the brass and the volume of brass that can be cleaned.

Then again, there's a third option - ultrasonic cleaners.
For those of you that use an US cleaner, what solution do you use? Is a rinse afterwards necessary?
I'm considering one, and wondering what the CGN brain trust has to say.

I have used all 3 (Vib/Ultrasonic/wet pins)
Now i just use the Vibe with nufinish and a bounce sheet (and change the PAuto media more often), and a case prep center to put the final touches on the brass.

My Vib brass are super shiny, clean, and its a lot less hassle than using wet imho.
