Might it be time to create a sticky above for the Derya TM22? Shes turned into the hottest girl at the dance apparently.......
There is a Facebook page for the TM-22 which has some good info.Might it be time to create a sticky above for the Derya TM22? Shes turned into the hottest girl at the dance apparently.......
Quiets don’t have enough pressure to cycle the action. It’s not the homebrew handle. They won’t cycle them even stock from the factory. You need around 1000-1100 fps or higher to cycle the action on these reliably.anyone using.22 quiets? They turned my TM into a single shot.
Wondering it’s because I installed the homebrew CH?
they even recommend 1200fps or more in the tm-22 guideQuiets don’t have enough pressure to cycle the action. It’s not the homebrew handle. They won’t cycle them even stock from the factory. You need around 1000-1100 fps or higher to cycle the action on these reliably.
If your barrel nut is working loose maybe try a barrel shim, might be easier to bottom the nut out with a shim or two.I was looking for a thread...
Anyone else having a hard time keeping this thing from falling apart? The barrel nut specifically on mine is forever working loose, which turns it into a spray and pray.
Nevermind the charging handle and screws that even threadlocker won't keep in place for long
This rifle has been so frustrating in the short time I've owned it that I'm a hair away from dumping it and just building a 10/22 blaster (which I probably should have done to begin with)
Yeah after testing over $300 worth of varying .22lr ammo in mine I can confidently say that it will function the best with anything over 1250fps. My best results were with the CCI Velocitors, and after seeing more than a half dozen deryas in matches over three matches, those that ran anything other than velocitors had failures, those that did run them had no failures at all.they even recommend 1200fps or more in the tm-22 guide
I have 3 TM22 in my cabinet. and you are bang on, i won't even bother running less than 1250 fps.they even recommend 1200fps or more in the tm-22 guide
I run the CCI Blazer pretty reliably in mine at 1235fps I get a failure every 100 or so at most so I'm good with those numbersYeah after testing over $300 worth of varying .22lr ammo in mine I can confidently say that it will function the best with anything over 1250fps. Additionally, a bunch of those deryas had the left side extractor removed... Seemed to help in functionality. I'm going to test it this weekend
I'm considering a second if this pro gets running well.I have 3 TM22 in my cabinet. and you are bang on, i won't even bother running less than 1250 fps.
I have found that the TM22 love the Aguila High Velocity Super Extra rounds. They are kinda dirty, but, they cycle the bolt flawlessly.
I found the break in period with mine to be excruciating long before it settled in. I've now got it so that the gun will run extremely reliable with the lower velocity ammo. I'm currently past 10k through it now and it will cycle CCI quiets without a hiccup. With the 1200ish fps options, I usually go about a brick to 800 RDS between cleanings. The only ammo that I've tried that it doesn't seem to digest is Federal automatch.Yeah after testing over $300 worth of varying .22lr ammo in mine I can confidently say that it will function the best with anything over 1250fps. Alex's homebrew? I did a quick search - you mean the AR charging handle? It's a bit dear, but I'll keep it in mind. ThanksIf your barrel nut is working loose maybe try a barrel shim, might be easier to bottom the nut out with a shim or two.
As for the charging handle, I just went to the Alex's homebrew. It's a solid option and works as intended. As a note the included bolt insert to prevent the bolt from tilting is f'ing on point. Makes the bolt feel way more stable
Disassemble and check that your mag followers move freely. You may need to debur to mold lines or shave them slightly. If that doesn't fix it, then it's short stroking. I had the same issue. it went away after a I'd run around 2k roundsAlex's homebrew? I did a quick search - you mean the AR charging handle? It's a bit dear, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks
I shot it today and the nut stayed tight, at least for now. I'm feeling rather less frustrated now.
For ammo the lower velocity Aguila blue label stuff, I think it's about 1150fps, mostly works. I just wanted to test it because I have a lot. I was shooting Federal bulk or Automatch otherwise and it's doing ok. There's the odd hiccup where it's not stripping a cartridge at random intervals, but it just might be getting dirty again and short stroking due to that.
damn i just ordered a tm22 pro as my first gun and got cci mini mag 40gr cprn ammo to go with it but its only 1235 fps so hopefully thats still okI have 3 TM22 in my cabinet. and you are bang on, i won't even bother running less than 1250 fps.
