Hello all and a quick intro, if I may. I live in upper Muskoka, Ontario and am surrounded by woods. Thousands of acres with only oold logging trails whichh I use exclusively. It is heaven. I found this website as I am seeking my first lever action shotgun. I actually just sold a very limited edition NWTF 2000 Gun of the Year Ithaca 37 in order to find the perfect lever, the difference of course being thhat I would use thhe lever. That gold shotgun just never seemed to find the right circumstance for my use...even turkey hunting. Thhinking maybe a 30--30 or 45-70 SBL or maybe a trapper..

Welcome. There's a few scalpers trying to sell their stock pile of Marlins in the EE for the past year and a half lol and
irunguns can also import. Good luck!

Ya I am watching the 1895 45-70's very closely and wondering why there is such a massive price fluctuation in new ones? I see several adverts on another site at $3200 plus but then see them at $2500 from others. Guy from Vancouver just sold a brand spanking new one at $2500 which I would have grabbed but was too late. Would these be ANY different at all? I have no problem with older stock new as long as it is the same weapon. I have never bought threw the mail befgore and, as much as I detest the ppresent government stance on gns. the PAL validation system does offer a bit of assurance as you get their PAL, name, DOB and e-mail, along with the governments stamp of approval on the exchange.

Welcome. I'm in ON in the GTA. Hunting up near Nipissing each fall with a small party as part of a larger camp with about 20 total. I can't help you with the lever but there's a thread on CGN lets get asome lever action happening. Some real beauties there. I just got a modern BLR lightweight in 30-06 a couple years ago. Not a museum piece or collectible, really but I like it. Functional, fits me and its the caliber I like.
