Another 1941 Johnny in the EE

We need some enterprising importer to bring in the ones that were captured in the Bay of Pigs invasion.
The US will not allow anything in from Cuba, so that gives us a chance.

Funny how sometimes rifles come out of the woodwork at the same time... one guy posts, another guy who has been thinking about selling for years sees and posts his, soon a third guy figures he should sell because the first two did so well. Meanwhile there's a feeding frenzy and my bank account drains.:redface:

Cubas really hard up for hard currency right now so you might have a decent shot. I could only imagine the paperwork in 2 languages out of a Communist country then into Canada from Cuba.
 
fish that got away

in the mid/late 80's, I spent a fair bit of time down on 'gun row' in edmonton and had seen a couple of johnsons for sale on the racks at klondike arms. if i recall, they were asking around $250 or $300 for it, which was way too much for me as I was a student at the time. it was also such a damm ugly thing but i didn't realize the history behind it at that time. In retrospect, i should have bought it as the returns have been much better than the stock market over the last 20 years.
 
At the Calgary Gunshow, about 10 to 12 years ago, there was a Johnson there for $400. Might have had a rubber butt plate installed?, but considering what they fetch today and in the USA (sorry for the rhyme!) that was a real deal for someone by todays standards! I don't think it sold at that price as it was still there at the end of the show!

I saw a rack of five at Tulsa this past weekend. He wanted an average of $7K for them. Marstar sold one for $700 last year.
