I still resist that notion...A great case for a 30-06 and 375 H&H for sure.

I don't understand why anyone would buy an overpriced and unreliable Yankee Ruger when there are all sorts of cheap and very reliable 9.3x62 Mausers available in Canada. Is it the stainless? The laminated stock? The "new car smell"?Well after all the hype and being super stoked, fit and finish were great, took it out to shoot and it wont eject reliably. If you run the bolt fast the extractor does not rise up in time, Bolt has to be pushed forward half a cm then back and it ejects. Prophet River is being great about it and its going back for a look with a gunsmith or back to Ruger for warranty but super disappointed in a $2k gun that is supposed to be a "bear gun" not being reliable. before you ask yes Ive lubed it and I have already tried putting 300 rounds through the action (not fired just run through) and a box fired. The Iron sights also shoot quite low even at 20yds.
I sort of remember you buying one from me... maybe trot the arrogance back to your "artificially bumped" Manlicher thread...I don't understand why anyone would buy an overpriced Yankee Ruger when there are all sorts of cheap and reliable 9.3x62 Mausers available in Canada. In the end, I used a Mauser 98 in .338.WM, a Win M70 in .300 WM and a Blaser in .300 WM for most of the game. When my suitcase finally arrived, my .350 Rem Mag was unusable, but most of the game I intended to harvest with it were already in the salt. I got the chance to use my 6.5 Rem Mag on Impala, Springbok, Kudu and Jackel. It was a terrific hunt, with an awesome crew that I have hunted with in the past, a fun two week reunion in the bush.I still resist that notion...

At least you got to use 6.5 Rem Mag, that’s pretty cool. What was your case set up that broke the .350 Rem Mag? Anything in hindsight that you would have done differently or was it just inevitable the way it was handled? In the end, I used a Mauser 98 in .338.WM, a Win M70 in .300 WM and a Blaser in .300 WM for most of the game. The case was great and I would have second guessed it if I hadn't seen the throw to the tarmac... it hit on end and the weight of the rifle compressed the foam enough to Crack the stock at the tang. When I lifted the rifle out of the case the rear anchor bolt fell out, rattling? Or single jolt? I haven't examined it yet....still at Pearson, awaiting the final flight. With two rifles and gear in the case, the rifles only had 3 inches of foam between them and rhe end of the case... you would think that would be enough but apparently not.At least you got to use 6.5 Rem Mag, that’s pretty cool. I’m curious what case you had your rifles in?In the end, I used a Mauser 98 in .338.WM, a Win M70 in .300 WM and a Blaser in .300 WM for most of the game. I will take a picture of the case and interior layout when I get home... just in the bush chasing turkeys for a few days.I’m curious what case you had your rifles in?
