Brigade Makasi MK15 We're back in business!!

Unlike before they now know every NR firearm you purchase so they can let you waste your money and take them later when they prohibit them . Maybe the SCC will do the right thing on this soon although I have my doubts.

Regardless of the outcome, the guns are gone and aren't coming back. By some chance in hell they take our side, the liberals have their majority now, so they'll simply pass the ban via legislation.

Nothing short of a change of government will change this.

So have you people already forgot what happened to the C-21 compliant Crusader Arms Crypto last year? The same thing will happen to this one. No point in getting excited, unless blowing $2k for a quick nostalgia fix is your thing.
Some people buy these sorts of things with no intention of giving them to the government, regardless of what the douchebag politicians think. In that case you would want to buy it while you can.

No one should trust anything to do with the RCMP firearms lab and what they determine. Unprofessional would be a huge understatement.
Dishonest is the word I prefer to describe the lab and their classifications.

Unless you’re all in on non-compliance including former restricted, that would be a bad idea. They will know who has the NR version via the back door registry.

Looks like it takes standard AR barrels so import a restricted version and have it rebarreled and verified to NR status. pinning the new gas block is not so hard for a competent gunsmith.
The number one reason IMHO why this is NR is because the BCG is proprietary.
Comparisons to the crypto appear to be in bad faith.

Buy off the shelf restricted one through IRG or whoever dealer could get them in immediately, which is much cheaper like 1.4K instead of paying double the price for a NR and wait and wait for someone to make it happen. Don't put the deposit down for someone who promises to make some converion or some special shipment of unknown or 2 weeks delivery time. Get it, shoot the hell out of it and have as much fun as possible in the shortest time.

This play book worked in the past with the cZ Bren.

If it is banned, limit the loss and you have already down couple cases of ammo already and have squeezed at least 1/2 of its useful life out.

The political environment is different now from 2 years ago, so adapt.
I hear ya, but I'll never register another gawd damned with this government. I'm considering handing in my SIN card...to say I'm done with them is an understatement.

The Brigade "Makasi" has been green lit by the horse cops, so giddy up, Let's GO!!!

I don't even care how much, who's bringing these in? (I run guns...looking at you).

The only turn off is the breakdown catch...can you imagine that getting hung up on your gear as you raise to shoulder the gun and it opens, folding it in half?
Easily fixed with training.

I actually tried this route with X95 and I don't recommend it. Horse cops reclassified my X95 as prohib while it was transitioning (pun intended) from R to NR. Because this process takes time. So I had to surrender it. Well, I gave them several pieces of receiver only, we had a good laugh with a cop, who was processing it. Even if I had confirmation of NR status, I would still have been harassed. Records about items you reclassified from R to NR or to Antique stay on your records FOREVER. I once requested my info and saw it all.

So, I would prefer the other option. Buy NR and horse cops will never know you had one, and even if banned at least you will have a chance to loose it in the boating accident or sell it to Mike.

Thats not at all how it works. Its amazing how many people dont understand this. If you buy an nr firearm from a store, simply do a pal verification at some point with anyone who buys or sells guns regularly. There is a possible combination exceeding any reasonable ability to search who could potentially own a firearm assuming you have done a few pal verifications with people who regularly buy and sell. I do at least 20 per year, if each of those people do even 10, and their 10 do 10 as well, thats 2000 people who could potentially own whatever i may have bought from a store. And thats assuming the third group never do another pal verification again, if they do the number of potential owners rises exponentially each time. So to reiterate, I buy from cabelas, sell to 20 people that year, i cant remember who i sold what to sorry, so any one of them or anyone they sold to could own the theoretically prohibited firearm, not my problem. Have fun searching 2000, 20, 000, or 200, 000 people every time you want to use your "bAcKdOoR registry". If anything this "backdoor registry" will aid in wasting countless hours of gun grabbers time and take their resources away from actually taking guns lol. The only thing they can ever do to track down all the previously NR guns, is full scale search of every PAL holders home. In short, if you want a gun, purchase it. Don't live in fear, especially fear that is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how things work.

I would consider the micro-Tavor a different situation if that is the rifle you a speaking of. the proprietary bolt carrier of this firearm prevents a situation similar to SAN/CZ/IWI "problems"

A prohib is a prohib is a prohib. Reason for reclassification in this case is irrelevant. Chances are the same, we have tons of examples of approved by Lab and reclassified by Lab, approved by lab and reclassified by OIC, you name it.
What matters is a) horse cops know you have it if it is R and b) even if you change it to NR, the record will stay forever and you might be harassed
