Morning All. Did some digging in the misc box and found a box of Acraglas from eons ago. This stuff has got to be about 15 to 20 years old.I opened up the containers and its still a liquid. Any one use this stuff when its old.Mixing instructions states it has a shelf life of 4 years. OK I read the outside of the box and it states 7 to 10 years. What say you all. Thanks

been using 25 yr old epoxy and epoxy putty of various brands - a little dry and hard but it still works well :)

One Gunsmith Kink they published, IIRC, reported rejuvenating it (from a thickened state) by carefully heating it (with a double-boiler) while stirring.

In the instruction it's says the shelf life is like other say ~25 years. It should be good and its ultra easy to use just mix it 1:1 by volume, stir for 4 mins, add atomized metal to make it harder (if necessary), then slap it into the areas using a wide popcicle stick. Voila.....if you want proper instructions go the the brownells website and look for the instructions in the bedding section.

Good luck.

I have found the older gel to get a bit lumpy but when you mix it if you heat it under a 100 watt bulb and stir well, it gets real smooth and cures fine...

OK Thanks for your input guys. Not gonna toss it in the dump now.Gonna give it a whirl on a couple of cracked stocks I have. Thanks

I have a couple of kits left from a case that was purchased 20 years ago and it was so old then that all of the release agent had dried to a hard lump. It still works fone. bearhunter
