Compared to what? People are paying 2K for the Crusader mashup and $1500 for Turkish stuff.

This is a quality rifle by all indications. $2400 seems fair to me this day and age.

You people know that it has to meet c21 requirements lol that's why it's been at rcmp gun lab for over a year.

It will not take standard mags lol they are using the US description. Also the rifle pictured is the restricted model with a 16" barrel not the NR 18.6". There are FRTs for both.

Wrong. The FRT literally states that it predates C-21 and uses AR mags. It is therefore exempted from C-21 compliance.

I ordered this with Bullseye…they are also great to deal with. When someone gives you all the information upfront, you may not like it, but it’s not greasy. Greasy is when something unexpected is sprung on you after the fact. But you be you.

I doubt putting on a 18.5” barrel will induce many problems that didn’t exist with a 16” barrel.

Bingo. If anything an 18.5" barrel should theoretically improve accuracy all others things being equal of course. Looking forward to this rifle arriving here.

Both were under 1k and that wasn’t really that long ago so I can see why some are having sticker shock

All depends on what their factory capabilities are. The demand for the oddball MK15 here as opposed the USA is astronomical, and they probably understand that by now. They would do well to ramp up production for at least the next six months...
