Alberta cancels time changes.

For hunting it's great. Here in SK we don't change. Often sunrise isn't til like 0830. So no need to get up at the complete *ss crack of dawn to get in before sunrise.

It literally makes no difference for hunting - hunting follows the sun. Permanent daylight savings means you'll have to get up earlier all year round.

I think both BC and Alberta are stupid for going with daylight savings time. Noon is supposed to be when the sun's at the highest. Any jobs that rely on sunlight will still have to shift their starting times in winter - so this regulation makes no change for them. Children will be walking to school in the dark in winter more prone to car accidents.

Awwww .... the whinging involved in this is epic.

In my 60 years, changing a clock has never bothered me once. I suppose all the people who whine about losing sleep have never traveled to another time zone, EVER, in their entire lives? I suppose a trip to another continent with its 9-12 hour time change would just kill those people.

A little, "adapt and overcome" never hurt anyone.

Great change. And for those who say it doesn't change anything, it does. Light longer in the evening - meaning when i get off work, we have time to hunt the last hour not the last 5 min. Its a win.

And as much as people say it doesnt affect people, it does. Clinicly proven - many studies. Same as the shift worker sleep deprivation, similar to jet lag. Ita a real thing.

I'm retired so it doesn't effect me .
The amount if sunlight in the winter is less than in summer, the further north you go the more darkness in the winter. That is the reality of it . Changing a clock only changes the time not the amount of daylight there actually is

Haha... Every day is Saturday.

True on the time. It just makes it easier for us regular folks to get out after work.

North is north. Time difference between Edm and mcmurry is 15 min.. Marginal at best.
