CZ 512 in 22WMR is also available on the used market as they've discontinued the magnums too. I will say i have a 512 and it runs flawlessly, these aren't budget rifles, even if you can find one it'll be $1000 used

BCA has a few things I find interesting. They also have a really terrible QC reputation.

It's a 10/22 clone. It's really HARD to mess up a 10/22 platform in 2026, lol! Most Volquartsen, Kidd, Tandemkross, etc. aftermarket parts fit both the 22LR and 22WMR Ruger 10/22's.

Failing that, nothing a jeweller's file or a Dremel and some patience can't fix, 99% of the time.

I'd take my chances.

;)

Just be aware that the reason why Ruger discontinued the .22 magnum 10/22 so quickly is because it was incredibly unreliable.

They had initial quality control issues and instead of figuring it out, they dropped the model. Too may complaints, apparently.

Also, it was reported that the 22WMR rifles were "picky" about ammo. They ran good with some types, terrible with other types.

I don't mind being restricted to only using certain brands / types of ammo, personally. The most basic .22 WMR beats the best 22LR hyperammo in both range and stopping power.

The turks sure had a easy time screwing up the 10/22, just look at all those crappy RF224 rifles and the endless problems posted LOL.

Here's a good review of the original Ruger 10/22 in .22 WMR, where the guy goes over the apparent "failure" of the model :

I wish Ruger would have worked out the issues with this awesome little rifle.

I would own one if they weren't $1800.00 plus now.........:ROFLMAO:

I'd be willing to try the Bear Creek Arsenal Model if they became available in Canada and were under $750.00.

The Savage A22 models are okay, but I would not buy another one......:(

And I like Savage firearms........:)

Based on what I've been reading, the RF224 is not actually a 10/22 "clone". It is of a similar design and uses the same mags, but none of the parts are actually interchangeable.

If I am wrong on that, do let me know. I don't own an RF224, but was intrigued by the idea of an actual 10//22 tactical clone and came close to buying one recently. I decided not to when I've read that they're not actually clones at all, just distant ripoffs of the design.

Reliability issues were highly probable if it's not a direct copy.

Magnum Reasearch made a clone of the Ruger 10/22 WMR for number of years . The three I had all shot and functioned well.

The Ruger 10/22 WMR I owned functioned great as well , however some other shiny item came along.

CZ 512 22 WMR are all great .

Overlooked is the Remington 597 , the 22 WMR HB Laminate Stock is another choice
