Sporting O/U Recommendations

Just a plug for Caesar Guerrini. Every bit as good as Beretta or better. I’ve been shooting a Ellipse Evo Sporting with 32 “ barrels the last several years with zero issues.

I have own many Berettas through the years still have 7 o/u . Mostly all good never did shoot the auto loaders well but thats me not the product. But the constant changes in the product line has produced some duds not big on the 690 line it is like they are grabbing at straws with product developement and sales lot's of BS adverts. Hopefully the 688 does not fall into this catagory. We will see what the long game has to say I have been wrong many times.

The 688 seems to get stellar reviews and in some ways appears to out spec the 690s (which is strange given its lower price point).

Only time will tell how its longevity is but with the bigger stronger features it should do OK.
