I've seen one guy use some kind of 45 degree offset thingy for his flashlight.

Ive got the gg&g mount on mine for a flashlight. I run the 4 round holder/rail for mine, seems to work better with the slide

I didn't like the 45 degree on mine, obscured the sight picture too much when using the included irons. The offset goes on top of the included reciever rail. I managed to find a 90 degree offset (brand: BRIDGEMOUNT) on Amazon lol just careful not to over torque the scews and use lots of loctite and you'll be fine. This was the cheapest solution outside of taping it.

GG&G does make a pic rail thing you slide on the mag tube and then screw on the mag tube cap, no assembly required. But then you're paying for shipping, etc so sucks if you're only ordering that one part, but it's probably the better option. I have to break grip to actuate the flashlight (Streamlight ProTac 2.0) with my 90 degree setup, but I don't mind, I like it.

EDIT: added POV photo, Simpson's skin for anonymity you can see enough of the front post to shoot slugs if you want.

I run a 5 shot card on the buttstock. I didn't like how it glued onto the irregular-shaped reciever and the forend pump travels really far back and always caught it a little.

Are these guns gen 3 or whatever designation Benelli is using for their latest iterations? Namely does it have the shorter throw found on the group or Gen or whatever 3 shotguns?

You're thinking of the Nova 3, those are chambered for 3" shells, meanwhile the Supernova is 3.5". The shotgun in this post is the Supernova and it's a wonderful firearm. They should edit this post as the actual listed price on their website is even lower than advertised here.

EDIT: The "14% Shorter Cycling Stroke" is just marketing fluff since they went down from 3.5" to 3" on the Nova 3. Most people probably couldn't even tell the difference. The biggest change is the entirely polymer receiver. I find that off-putting, despite my trust in the Italians and their shotgun manufacturing.
