So are you seriously using AI to generate photos, or does this version come with a different magwell and furniture?

Of course, we use AI. Have you seen how many products we post? Even John needs backup. 😂

Before I order is this not an FNAR receiver and hence an issue? If not then great, I think I want one.
No, the Browning BAR MK 4 DBM Hunter (.308 Win/7.62 NATO, UPC 023614859796, model 039010218) does not use an FNAR receiver. It has Browning’s own updated aluminum alloy receiver design from the MK 4 platform.

Here’s the quick breakdown:
  • This specific rifle is the current-generation BAR MK 4 DBM Hunter: lightweight alloy receiver with an integrated Picatinny rail, fluted 18.5" barrel, composite stock with shim-adjustable comb/cheekpiece, Inflex recoil pad, and a 10-round detachable box magazine (DBM). It’s a gas-piston semi-auto with a rotary bolt.

  • Key MK 4 update (new for this generation): The barrel threads directly into the receiver (unlike the older clamped-fit design on prior BARs). Browning made this change for better accuracy and a more rigid lock-up.
This is not an FNAR receiver. It’s the latest Browning BAR MK 4 receiver with the threaded-barrel improvement and integrated rail. If you’re looking at parts interchangeability, FNAR magazines will probably still drop in on the DBM version, but the receiver itself is a distinct (and updated) Browning component.
