Good afternoon gun nuts

Picked myself up a T3X Lite in .308 which will be my go to dear rifle moving forward. Slapped a nice Trijicon LPV on it and she’s pretty well ready to rock.

Only thing is, the synthetic stock. Not a fan of it.
What are my reasonable options? I’m not opposed to switching over to AI mags if the stock is it. Preferably I’d like a nice wood or laminate stock. No fruity

Thanks

Also friendly reminder to call your mothers. Or get the wife some flowers

I should elaborate on what I mean by reasonable. I mean what’s around and won’t absolutely break the bank. I don’t really feel like placing an order and waiting six months. If it can be avoided.

Thanks

google it!

I dont know how much new stuff has entered the market in 6 years.

Here are the major players making stocks and chassis for the Tikka T3:

-MDT (also makes the Oryx through a subsidiary)

-KRG

-GRS

-Masterpiece Arms

-McMillan

-Manners

-McRees

-XLR

-Accuracy International (Surprise)

-Boyd

If you're wanting to spend gangbusters money, Manners, McMillan, Masterpiece Arms and Accuracy International are going to be some of your best options. You'll be spending (easily) $1,200 for the stock / chassis, and then in some cases hundreds more to have someone properly bed your Tikka action.

Try Widcat stocks just outside of Edmonton. Fabulous product that can rival Mcmillan. If you like wood great but Don't discount well done synthetics. Nothing like the factory original garbage some manufacturers crank out these days,

If you are not looking to break the bank keep an eye out on the EE parts for a tikka hunter (walnut) or Tikka laminate stock. The pop up and usually rin anywhere between $300-$375

I just put a GRS on mine, it feels much better now, still use factory mags, didn't have to run out and try to figure out what is a good AICS mag. Considered an MDT wood imitation version too, but, would have had to buy bottom metal and mags.

If you want light, MDT HNT... although, I've grown to give MDT a wide birth these days..

I was never a huge fan of the default Tikka factory stocks, however the one on my Roughtech feels much improved, even though i know the improvements are relatively minor, they take a "meh" stock into "ok... this is nice" territory. If you can find a take-off, might be worth it.
