Spam Can With No Markings?

So I purchased this spam can a long time ago (cant remember when I last shot anything 7.62 x 39) and I am clearing out all 7.62 x 39 rifles and ammo.



I cant remember what the quantity is on this (pretty sure it came in a wooden crate with another can which I shot) and I cannot see any markings (please note the writing is mine). The ammo itself is corrosive from memory and looks like this:



How many rounds would be in this? 700? 750?

I don't want to open it but I will if I have to.

That looks like the copper washed ChiCom surplus. If it's like my crates of that each can holds 720 rounds. All of mine have markings on them, though.

Yeah, that looks like stinky chinky to me as well.

I will look again today and see if I can spot any markings but pretty sure there aren't any.

Does the 'bottom' - in the pic - have the 'zipper' ? Maybe who you got it from was 'cleaning the can' and washed off the markings. Most are just stencilled on.

You could measure one round and ask ai how many fit into the dimensions of the can. Bet it will be close

I plan to offload all my 7.62x39 rifles - I never really had any love for that round.

I am more of a 223 guy and I probably have enough components to run me until I am in the soil.

If you mean the spot to open it then no. There is nothing on the bottom.

If you look close you can see the band that opens a little down on the sides in the picture (two lines).
