I have a couple of them, never had an issue with them and they are handy to put in your shirt pocket.

any camera store will sell a lens pen as well for probably less

The ones from optics companies are usually rebranded LensPens, so don’t overpay unless you want to.

It's great. It lives in the side pocket of my bino harness. I also keep a small microfiber cloth in my bino harness but the pen gets used much more.

I suspect the same.

I should note that I DO use a microfiber cloth as well, just much less frequently. The convenience factor of the pen is it's main selling point for me. I think a cloth does a better job, but it takes a lot more effort to get that extra 5-10%. Plus the brush! A cloth does a great job cleaning smudges and water stains, but it's no good for dirt and pine needles and snow, and anyone who's hunted in the snow knows you can't just blow on the lens to clear that stuff if you actually want to use the glass.
