L3I CZ 457 Drop In Barrel in MDT ACC Premier Gen 2 Chassis Question

Had the good fortune to purchase an L3I barrel for my CZ 457 from Go Big Tactical. (I say good fortune because Go Big Tactical was great to deal with.)
I'm planning on putting this into a CZ 457 model MDT ACC Premier Gen 2 Chassis.
MDT states that the maximum barrel diameter for this chassis is 1.25" and the barrel is 1.18". I can't remember where but I believe I read somewhere that material had to be removed from the front end of this particular chassis to free float the barrel.
Does anyone have any experience with this they can share?

Thanks,

Art

Hi Art. We are an MDT dealer and I will call our rep on Monday and let you know what he says.

If you need any other MDT products send a PM any time too. We offer excellent pricing.

Art, the 1.25in measurement on the ACC Premier Gen2 is for the Rem 700 version. In the case of the CZ457 the action sits in a slightly different spot than the Rem 700 so the barrel clearance is a bit smaller.

Having said that, our MDT rep said they have looked at the L3I barrels in the 457 specifically and it will fit. If you purchase thru us (again hit me up for a quote, you will be impressed!) and for some reason it doesn't fit, we will take it back and deal with it.

MDT...careful with them...

MDT has been nothing but fantastic to deal with for us. Sounds like you have had a bad experience previously, but they take great care of us and our customers.

FANTASTIC...CUSTOMER base is important!!
IF you dont service what you sell...doesn't matter what you sell
yes they have issues and its hit and miss

Thank you all for replying. I appreciate it.
Wondering if you've had to adjust any torque settings (barrel mount grub screws - action screws) from the recommended standard to accommodate the extra weight of this barrel.
Thanks again,

Art

I run 25 ILBS on the grub and 30 ILBS on the action screws with no issues. I recently purchased stainless steel magwell’s from Accuracy Development Solutions which stiffens up the action as the magwell is built like a tank.
