If your not against using inserts , there are 12ga to 410 and 12ga to 20gaTrying to get a sxs for upland. I think 20ga is a good choice? I want to shoots steel shots(just want the food to be a little bit cleaner). But most of the SXS have fix choke with a IM or Full on there. Any gun suggestions? Trying to spend under $1000
Thank you for the information I will take into those gunsstoeger uplander supreme 20ga
it wont get much love on cgn, but I have 3 of various configurations (20ga, 410, 12ga supreme coach) For an occasional shooter, they work fine, they can be found in fixed ic/m but your best best is the supreme with removable chokes
or increase your budget by a little bit and get a churchill 520

, bluing near perfect, no rust anywhere. No question, such a gun would handle 2 3/4" loads of any type, including steel. BTW, it can be switeced from eject to extract as well. i really like it!
If you are just ground swatting birds, a cheap SXS is as good as a $10K gun.
Several years ago, I prepaid for one of those at Epps. The deal with Wes was that when the order came in I would get the pick of the litter with the nicest wood chosen.CZ Bobwhite G2 20 Ga 3'' 28'' $1,049.99
takes Mobil Choke Tubes.
My son has a nice little 20 gauge Bobwhite.. the grain is not spectacular but then, neither is the gun. We have made many, many nice trips with it though....Several years ago, I prepaid for one of those at Epps. When I finally got the shotgun, I was not thrilled to find that the wood had less figure than cardboard. That was pretty much the last time I bought anything from Epps. Don't buy one sight unseen.

It looks like new, it is tight and solid, it points and paterns nice. I hope to get out for a bit of trap and skeet this summer.Nice looking sxs. And it's ready for a sling! Does it point nice for you? Looks new
