looking for 44-4- cowboy loads

I have a Marlin model 95 I want to try but it's octagon barrel old and I don't want to blow it up.

44 Russian and 44-40 are different cartridges. When you find 44-40 expect to $90-$100 a box. If you’re going to shoot 44-40 the only way to guarantee a supply and cut costs down is to reload.

will my marlin handle the 725 ps pressure.

Easily and though that 725 is probably out of a handgun, in your 94' it will be somewhere around 1100 fps. I handload to better than that in my Marlin.

Is yours an old timer? Mine apparently is from the late 1800's.

stronger Marlins were often marked with 'Special Smokeless Steel', if not then they were made for black powder pressures
which should be similar to any 'cowboy' load available
