OK, mine came today... 16" barrel pump. While I haven't taken it to the range, I am scratching my head about just how to properly pump the action. Like, how do you open the action? .... you just pull back on the front handguard with all your strength until it lets go?

I assume it's a blow-back action, but I'm wondering how easy it will be to shoot a 10 round magazine, let alone take it to a PCC match.

Unlike my pump shotguns (or my pump 22, or my old Remington pump 308 Win) there is no button to press to release the slide. Just yank HARD? Not sure if Derya did us right or wrong with this pump....

Strange.

Uh did you figure it out?

Coming soon to an EE near you for just over retail!
Maybe.... I want a magazine fed PCC so I can shoot PCC matches in Michigan. I'm not getting the Henry as I'm 100% sure it will be banned sooner rather than later (ya, I know, but my money my choice).

The lever action Sterling Arms that takes Glock mags would be my second choice but it's not released yet. I'm currently using my pump Taipan X for 3-gun in Michigan. I usually don't come in last!

Does it got some sort of mag safety? Like pump wont operate unless a mag is in?

Like on a pump action shotgun you probably pull the trigger to release the action, it would not be ideal if that’s the only way to unlock the action, that means you’ll have to dry fire then pump it, but that also means if you have a round in the chamber you’ll have to fire it to be able to pump it to clear the chamber. Maybe check if there’s a button on the pump handle, let us know if you’ve figured it out.

So the bolt doesn’t lock when you pump it like on a shotgun until you pull the trigger, it just pumps freely back and forth? Maybe the bolt stays locked and you can’t pump it as long as you keep pulling the trigger back after firing?
It sort of sounds like the bolt is held in battery only by spring pressure and given that it's not a blow back semi auto, the designers made the spring heavy enough to not allow the gun to cycle semi auto.

The lack of details from the importer and retailers and the confusion by people who have just bought this new rifle is a bit strange.
I've seen online reviews of new guns long before they arrive in Canadian retail shops but the version that popped up recently with the AR style stock and full rail is not even on the Derya website and non of the new models have videos of Turks, Yanks or Canucks shooting them?

I bought one when the original post went live with the fixed butt stock and lack of top rail version in 12 inch barrel.. received an email from SFRC that the model they got shipped changed to the one we see now.

Mine will be delivered next week, and I can provide a review and photos/,videos to hopefully clear up some of the these questions.

Certainly a very strange launch by Derya. Excited though!
