Brigade Makasi MK15 We're back in business!!

carbon fiber submarines... and carbon fiber barrels

But they work on sports cars

Just don't get a carbon fiber hip replacement... or was it a knee replacement. They degrade inside you

Has anyone found a source for a folding carry handle?

M+M makes a nice one, which I believe that you can order directly from their website (for about $75USD), but it folds the wrong way, or would have the carry handle pointing forward when stowed on the ejection port side of the rifle. Not ideal.

The TUFF ZONE carry handles are like $15-20USD, but generally seem to be out of stock throughout the US. They used to be available from Amazon.com, but it seems they don't exist there either. I'd be way happier paying $20USD and torching the rod the handle mounts to in order to bend it 180 degrees the other way.

I have an HK-hook style picatinny sling adapter that I am going to try to bolt an actual FAL carry handle to, but I'm not confident that it's going to work well.

At the end of the day, all I want is an aesthetic that is more FAL, and its actual utility is irrelevant.

Thoughts?

Just stick your Left-Folding Carry Handle in a vice and take a hammer to it until it folds to the Right instead. Here is an example of such a Carry Handle, converted to Right-side folding by yours truly for an Assault LMG application...

..... I'd like to figure out how to mount one of these on the rifle:

You will need to source a Metric FAL Flash-Hider with the NATO standard 22mm exterior diameter for launching rifle grenades. Your best source is likely to import from DS Arms in the USA, the only current manufacturer of FN FAL rifles in the world. Next you will have to have the Flash-Hider re-threaded from 9/16 x 24 (Left Hand) to the current NATO standard muzzle thread of 1/2 x 28 TPI (Right Hand). Do that, and you will be able to mount that particular bayonet on the correct FN FAL "Combination" Flash Hider and Compensator device mounted to the muzzle of your Makasi rifle.

The challenge is going to be finding one of the carry handles in the first place - I appreciate your photos, though, Mark; I had mentioned torching it, but considering how it's mild steel at best, I could probably even just use a cheater bar to bend it.

I might have to bite the bullet and buy one of M+M's wooden handled ones - the aesthetic is pretty hot.
