Awesome build and looks great. One suggestion is to move the rear scope ring back farther. It makes a much stronger set up if the gun ever gets banged or bumped. Just a suggestion.View attachment 1074608View attachment 1074609

Nice rig, just needs a can and a WMLRF
Brazilian contract Oberndorf Mauser action, 26” Gaillard barrel 1:10 RH twist threaded to accept ATRS three gill brake, chambered .308 Win match. Stock is CAF discarded C3 lumber with extension plates on the butt. Versa-Pod C3 bipod clone, optics are Vortex Viper PST II 16-24 x 50mm FFP MilRad reticle. It shoots true and is more accurate than I am capable of shooting it at this point.

This is thd John Plaster stock on my Rem8ngton International Match 40x I like it, but not nearly as much as the factory thumbhole- but the Choate runs in the bags better when using a scope! For all the guys running the Choate stocks on the 700's: what do you think of them?
Pros/cons?
Generally referred to as a Marksman style, Richards still offers them. What stock is that Ginger? - dan
Close. I have a couple of the marksman stocks from Richard's. They don't quite match up to that. Might be slimmed down with some judicious sanding though. I have three 70's that I'm looking to stock with a similar looking stock. - danGenerally referred to as a Marksman style, Richards still offers them.
Beautiful. But it seems like it should be much lighter. No?View attachment 1074608View attachment 1074609
