I have acquired several barrels that are supposed to be for the Thompson contender. They are made by SSK who made barrels for the Contender platform. These have much heavier rear lugs thatr attach to the reciever and also have a sigle hook for attaching the foregrip. This hanger is held on by two screws to the barrel so could be removed and possibly a hanger installed. Can anyone shed some light on these. They are in some heavy calibers 303, 300 win mag and 444 Marlin. Apparently SSK made these for the Gen 2 and SSK 50 platform with the extra heavy construction. See pics attached

Don’t know anything about them… but thank goodness none of the barrels are chambered in 6.5 anything. That fact may allow you to get some straight answers to your questions.

The tcr rifle is the likely use, but you might be able to fit them on an Encore. They won't be for a Contender. - dan
yep thanks I figured that out have now acquired a 83 so I can use the barrels. They are pretty nice barrels, an accurate rifle.
yep got hold of dave sharps deals with Thompson, its TCR 83 with double set triggers. Now have one of those pretty sweet set up great light trigger
