weird aluminum bullets

I picked up an assortment lot of ammo from auction wanted for the brass, upon inspection of the lot there was some loaded ammo all R P stamped and looking factory but very weird looking bullets, ammo was 270 win, 3030 and 38 sp
I pulled the 270 and had no powder the 3030 had 3 grains of powder and haven't pulled a 38 yet
all brass matches and super clean inside and out with good primers

I have never seen ammo like this before and a quick google search I found nothing similar

Small game loads? Maybe the 270 primer alone is enough to get the bullet through the barrel (magnum primer)?. I also have never seen these.

Take one of your pulled slugs outside and put it on a big rock or patio stone and hit it with a propane torch. See if it lights up. Have a bucket of water or garden hose handy. Take a video and post it for the rest of us curious people

those are magnesium not aluminum and magnesium burns hot enough to split water into magnesium oxide and hydrogen gas, hydrogen gas is explosive.
those flares are rather collectible.

11 good 3030 and 15 38 special
the 3 270 and 1 3030 were neck split, but might be fun to put into other brass and shoot

Those flares are low pressure, very modest velocity. I believe they could be safely shot with the neck crack.
