What's the trigger mech look like?
I agree; however the JW15 can be coaxed into a decent rifle. My most recent is the 13, I like tinkering, polishing tuning (worked on precision molds for a lot of my life). Accuracy is about 3/4" or smaller at 50 with a scope. 1/2" at 25 with front and rear truglo sight upgrade. Good plinker. You cant really use the NS522 as the standard when thats the golden winner of reliable chinese accuracy. They were real golden goose's.
The JW15 is a more likely chinese end result....the horror.
Bolt shroud looked different to me.Made in china. It’s the same exact action as the Scorpio 22
Nah, this is a single lug bolt, only locks up on the bolt handle, has the cheesy lock ring over the bolt to hold the extractors in place.Made in china. It’s the same exact action as the Scorpio 22
everything is steel other than trigger guard that looks well made of plasticAnd the bolt face! Any plastic on it?
Ps. Thanks for pics![]()
other than the trigger guard and mag wellMade in china. It’s the same exact action as the Scorpio 22
Hitz, extractors are held in place same as the CZ457 with the steel spring clip around the bolt body, that ring I think just makes sure the firing pin runs true and stays in placeNah, this is a single lug bolt, only locks up on the bolt handle, has the cheesy lock ring over the bolt to hold the extractors in place.
The Scorpio has dual locking lugs, and pinned extractors.
No problem Arco, happy to post themSubject to hearing the range report, it looks like a nice little rifle for us all to invest in. I'm not sure what it is about that blocky square trigger guard but it works for me! Thanks for the great pictures Bruce. If it's like a Scorpio it'll be a winner!
Is the barrel screwed into the receiver or is a slip fit and grub screws?everything is steel other than trigger guard that looks well made of plastic

Its a cz457 clone or closeIt kind of looks a little like a CZ457 copy to me, the bolt, trigger design, interesting.
Removable just like a cz457Is the barrel screwed into the receiver or is a slip fit and grub screws?
Very informative and excellent pictures Bruce!.....Stock is made out of beech, although im no expert ive stripped tons of beech stocks and just stripped the Chinese DYE/VARNISH off of this Northernrim and its the same as the CZ cheapy beech stocks. Its a well made stock
Thanks John, happy to do it!!!Very informative and excellent pictures Bruce!.....
It looks like a pretty cool little rifle.
I like the tactical type bolt handle, the Ruger 10/22 type magazine, and the wooden stock. It amazes me how inexpensive they can sell this 22 repeater for.
Thanks again for the incredibly thorough pics!......![]()
