Whos running LPVO on their 22lr and what are you running? Likes? dislikes?

Well because I can, im going to swap out a 3x9 basic scope from one of my 10/22's. Looking for a fun plinker, steel and gophers will be its targets. 100 yards and under.

Id like to keep it under 1000 for the optic lol
 
Trying the discovery MPVO 2-12 HD for my 10/22. Lots of features, feels good when you move the dials, parallax works quite well, reticle is also useful. Glass, in the middle of the field of view is good... but there is a bunch of distortion in the outer edge which certainly shows its budget minded construction.

Tracking wrt to rimfire has been fine and I certainly will use it within 100yds for varminting. If you are ok with using just the middle part of the view, it is fine for the money.

Eye relief is short but serviceable. Eye box is tight... which isn't an issue on a rifle with a proper fitting stock.

Compared to scopes in this price range from 5yrs back, it is a 'great' performer

Good choice for a .22 under 100 yards given the parallax adjustment option.... it does come at a weight penalty though.

OP, with a thousand dollar budget you have many options, reticle choice and deciding if you want sfp or ffp is important.
I'd go with a Second focal plane over a First focal plane and pick a reticle that suits your preference with nice holdover options.

The falcon endura that belt fed suggested has a nice clean reticle, when illuminated it lights up a small cross of the horizontal and vertical reticle plus the main aiming point. I generally prefer it when only the main aim point is illuminated but it's a personal thing.

After I bought the S10i last year from shooting warehouse I saw the previous non side adjustable parallax model on blow out sale from another retailer and bought one of them as well. It's a bit smaller and noticeably lighter weight. The reticle illumination only lights up the center dot and it also has a small "Christmas tree" arrangement of dots for holding windage.

Both of the Falcon scopes have nice glass quality to my eyes and among the best 1-10's I have looked through, specially in the $500 and under range!

I am using this on my TM22, I actually really like it. Used it to shoot some grouse last fall
 
I like the bushnell engage 1-4x20 with the g4i reticle. For most hunting 4x is all I really need. I really like just the center dot for anything close range.
I also use the bushnell elite 4500 series 1-4x20 they've never let me down.
I had a bushnell forge 1-8x32 on a rim fire and it was great but heavy so its been moved to my 9.3x62.
The engage is the cheapest but surprisingly clear
 
I put a Japanese Tasco 2-7 on my CZ for gophers. More power for range work. My TOZ 17 has an old Bushnell 1.5-4.5 mounted that worked well. Both are inexpensive and function well. 100 yds, no problem. Old scopes are over looked but can be a good buy. I also use a 2-7 on 22 hornet in the gopher field.
 
I can neither confirm or deny ownership of a 10/22 but Since I have one and no present use for its intended platform,, i wud run my Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 on a 10/22 platform, if i had one.

What i like is that it’s a true 1x with a great illuminated halo for close up steel challenge type stuff and drills and I cud wind it up to 8x shud i want to ring steel out further.

Thats if i had one.

Great luck with your choice. Reticle, focal plane and most importantly, budget are your concerns here.
Magnification becomes a problem if the glass does not support it with resolution.
I have or have had at least 10. None had features that were deal breakers for me.
I personally prefer etched and illuminated reticles with true 1x and variable up to 6x. The 1x illum allows me to use it like a red dot, if i want.
This is not a match rifle and imo, nowhere near justifies a ‘patrol’ grade lpvo.

Great for the price. Well made, light(ish). SFP. Simple illuminated duplex reticle.
 
VX 5HD 1-5 X 24. With illuminated reticle. It’s a relatively new set up for me and I’m still figuring out what she likes best but on the right track. For me 5x is adequate for 100 yards and would definitely want more if I was shooting farther. This rig will be a grouse, squirrel and rabbit kit as well as informal target practice.

Victoptics S6 over here and they are awesome for the buck. I use many of their prism's, clarity, eye relief is superior to others that are almost double the money.
