RPH: Winchester Ranger Lever action

I love this new Winchester Ranger lever gun. It kind of reminds me of a cheaper 9422 version. And I do want one.

A friend of mine had two, loved them both, however he has sold them and moved onto the Marlin 39 lever action 22's.

My main concern is parts availability down the road. Being Turkish made, I can only assume parts not being available, and warranty issues!.....:(

When I ran my gun shop, I had ordered 50 of these cool looking little guns. Three years later, and no guns, as well as broken promises from my Winchester/Browning rep, I cancelled all 50 of them. Then two years pass, and voila, the Winchester Ranger from Turkey finally appears. I think one can see my reluctance in buying one now.........:(

Maybe Al Flaherty's can chime in and ease my, and probably others concerns over a rifle made in Turkey.

I own a few Turkish firearms, and they are all good, however they have not needed parts or warranty.

Mr. Flaherty, what say you?.......:)

I bought one from Al Flaherty's in June I have been very satisfied with it. I like that it is easy to take down which makes it a lot easier to clean. I have in the past owned a Bl-22 which was a nightmare to take down and re-assemble, you only ever tried it once! I think the Ranger is a very designed rifle and good value for the money.

If something goes wrong with them, Browning Canada has a warranty program for these Winchester rifles.
If not, then we'll give them a stern talking-to. So do not you worry :)

Thank you for the response....:)

The issue I have is that Browning/Winchester took four to five years to bring in these Turkish Rangers from the time they were announced. You can see my reluctance to trust their word, or their warranty on a Turkish made gun......:(

As a retired dealer, it was very difficult to even obtain stock from them. I had to order 12-18 months in advance to receive stock....:(

I used to sell over 1200 firearms per year, I would have sold more Winchesters and Brownings if I could have got them in stock. However promises that were made by our BC Rep never came to fruition.

I can only hope for your business, and the customers that are waiting for guns to come in that Winchester/Browning has picked up the pace in delivering guns to Canadian retailers. By the way, I love Browning Firearms and own several of them. I own one nice Winchester rifle as well.

Browning warranty (Japan made guns), has always been very good to my former shop and me. One normally doesn't use warranty for a Browning rifle as they make quality firearms....:)

Again, thanks for your input!......:)

I wonder if Winchester/Browning has a lifetime warranty on these Turkish rifles? And if not, how long is the warranty, and what will it cover exactly?

Henry USA carries the best warranty in the world as far as I can see, I sold hundreds of Henry guns with only a couple of small warranty issues. Which were resolved very quickly....:)

Winchester firearm warranty is typically 1 year.

I order a Ranger on Friday after I seen they were restocked. They must have packed it up and got it to the post office within a few hours!!

Rifle showed up today at my house. Only handled for a few minutes but it's pretty nice

Granted I'm only about 2.5hr drive from the store, Still better than driving to that God forsaken Toronto 🤣🤣
