Shotgun weaponlight

For lights mounted close to the muzzle, I always put a thin layer of vaseline on the lens. It collects all the gunk and carbon discharged from the barrel. Makes it really easy to clean and keeps your light bright for longer. Just wipe it off after shooting and reapply. I have lights that have seen thousands of rounds and the lens is still as clear as the day it was installed.

🤔 I suppose it could be dual purpose as well. Although, it might be an awkward conversation explaining to the doctor how you got pinkeye from target shooting.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Lol. That’s a useful tip. But I likely won’t do a ton of shooting with the light mounted. Probably just to check zero of the laser.
The light will be mounted when it’s at home and when I go camping. Other than that I’ll probably remove it when I’m target shooting.

My Olight Balder pro arrived today. Pretty cool little unit. I like the laser and it’s ridiculously bright. Seems to be well made, especially for the price. We’ll see how it holds up to the recoil of a 12ga. But for $150 it was an easy gamble to make.
Still waiting for the GG&G light mount to arrive. But I’m pretty sure it’s not going to stick out past the barrel.
Thanks again for all the suggestions everyone
I can never get lower priced lasers to hold zero within five or so rounds
