From the Vortex guys. Yeah, I agree there is a lot of room for biased "interpretation" lets say, but at the end of the day, they are shooting it over a chrony.

BLUF: 20" and 22" barreled Tikkas shooting 6.5 CM Peak ammo outperformed a 24" barreled 6.5 PRC. Velocity gain was about 230-250 ish fps.

Recoil was stated to be notably less than the 6.5 PRC although thats subjective. Would like to see it tested mechanically.

No guns exploded in the shooting of this ammo ;)

Interesting, especially if you have a 6.5cm, similar recoil, and from what they say less recoil than the prc, so a win win?!?

Big whoop, 80,000psi to gain 1/2" at 300 yards.

What and where are you going to be shooting to see an advantage?

Anywhere someone might want a 270 or a 6.5 PRC or their mono to be 200 fps faster or...

Maybe....call this crazy...

But past 300 yards.

Btw what's the actual velocity on that Barnes load through a 20 or even 22 inch barrel? ;)

So in other words you won't use it.

Imagine a world in which shooters only cared about what they'd personally need or use lol. Ammo technology is interesting.

You won't use it either but that doesn't seem to stop you from being compelled to post as many baseless arguments against it as possible lol.

I'll stop there so as to not help another thread into being locked.

Oh, agreed. I won't. BUT, and it's a but I cant't deny, there are others who might go librarian-poo over it. As long as the ammo companies remain in business and sell our favorite loads to us Kanderpian gun nutz, I'm all for it. I own a 6.5x55, so I never bought into the Creed, and I'm not one for magnum or magnum-ish rifle loads, so the 6.5 PRC holds no interest for me either. But happy to have others get toys they like.
