Interesting 6.5 CM Peak comparison with 6.5 PRC

I think it would also explain why recoil would be similar, differences would come down to weight and rifle ergonomics and without a test bench I’d bet even with identical recoil a tester would say the recoil is lighter in the smaller cartridge even if it is the same.
Interesting technology and I’m looking forward to seeing the real world results when it’s in the hands of the masses over time.

The concept and challenges of bolt thrust are not new to me. I am no engineer either so I will leave it to them to figure out if it will work or not. The speculation among people whose wheelhouse this is not is too much for me at this point so if it happens, cool. If not, it's no sweat off my bag.

You can 100% count on various gun/ammo manufacturers providing small group pictures. Say half moa or so. It’s what they do. It’s how they sell rifles and ammo.
Then you will have actual consumers post up groups in various sizes. The “pro” groups will be tiny and shiny, the “con” groups will be all over the place.
The total value of this information to you? Almost zero. Unless you plan on purchasing one of the same rifles and ammo lots that produced the half moa group.

This is pretty interesting to hear. 250 FPS increase for a case the size of the CM is significant. i wonder what the next cartridge is that they will do this to? Maybe 308?

Yet same could be said about the 6.5CM..

The CM has undoubtedly proven itself over its short duration. What started as a Target round crossed over equally well into the hunting realm. Whether you’re for or against the CM, there’s no denying what it has accomplished.

So why mess with Its’ success for 250fps?
There’s a bevy of cartridges to choose from if you’re needing an extra 250fps, reach or punch in reality.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, for those 6.5 lovers… 6.5-300Wby for the win.

Leave the CM as is..

You can! No one is forcing anyone to use peak ammunition.
