Just Google' / utube it. I have a Gen 1 as well, went down this rabbit hole b4. It 'can' be done, with minor fitment/slide stop mods- Can't remember everything, but many have done it & posted/made videos on it. You relinquish the slide locking back on the last round fired, IIRC.
