I'm genuinely curious about how some of these groups are measured. Bullet holes are used to zero the caliper to give a true CTC (centre-to-centre) when you measure outside to outside. The one with the caliper, a 1cm grid is .394", the right most bullet is shows clean paper between the edge of the dark mark, and the grid. So assuming a radial measurement of .105" added to .394", we're at .499", plus the amount of white between the bullet and the grid, and the partial radius of the left most bullet, would put this over. I ran it through ballistic X and came up with a .55" group, which the picture and my math supports. Not trying to be a ####, but the machinist in me is showing.I was at the range testing out a bolt shim, and was liking what I saw. So I tried this challenge even though it’s a little windy/gusty.
I *just* made it. Now I’m curious what this will do on a calm day.
Rifle: CZ457 with an IBI 24” barrel and 0.003” bolt shim shooting SK Long Range Match, wrapped up in an ACC chassis (my PRS rifle).
