Has anyone tried recently to import a cylinder for an antique? I need to get another cylinder for a colt thunderer.
[Emphasis mine.] Small parts are exempt for registered businesses.US Munitions Act prohibits the export of firearms parts without a permit. [In theory this includes springs and screws, although some vendors will ship those because it's hard to tell that they are specifically for guns.] Barrels, cylinders, stocks, etc. are a different story and could open give the exporter a load of trouble. Jack First, Numrich, Dixie Gunworks, etc. won't send those parts out of the country.
Are there any companies that can or will bring in small parts like springs or internal components?
