DISCOVERY Optics Scope Rings ?

I'm tired of scuffing my scope tubes with various rings - including Leupold and Vortex.

And yes I know how to properly mount but the matte finishes (especially Leupold) don't seem as durable as the older high polish finishes.

Has anybody tried the Discovery rings and are the machined as good as the ads & reviews say ?

I've tried their 7075 rings, they come with a quite honestly genius indexing pin on each, so the top caps mate with the bottom before you even tighten a single screw.

Wish more rings had that, I've never seen it before. Their lighter duty rings don't have it. Bang for your buck they're good, but they'll still leave scuff marks unless you're extremely careful.

I had two scopes with Arken titanium rings and an Arken rigid precision cantilever mount, both were precisely made in terms of machining and left no marks when I sold the scopes, if you’re looking for budget rings then I would recommend both of them.

I currently use MDT Premier Scope Rings for all my scopes as they are durable and well machined and haven’t left any scope marks yet.

If you’re mounting the rings onto two scope bases there is the possibility of the bases being off slightly and as a result any rings will mark the scope without lapping.
