In the description, I'm so tempted to get one, but been set on a Chimera for a bit now. Looking forward to seeing range reports on these!

I bought a lightly used Chimera, it functioned flawlessly with metal Duramags, some issues with Crossmags and some other plastic mags (not Magpul).

However the accuracy from a bench rest, bipod, and rearbag across several different ammo manufacturers/grains was pretty bad. I'd be more interested in this AD500A now.

The stock handguard on the Chimera has a small pic rail but it's way too far up front to use a vert grip. Not sure if this AD500A has MLOK closer to the magazine.
 
I just received my AD 500A .223... and no, the handguard isn't M-LOK... it looks like M-LOK, but it's way too thick—plus, the nuts don't fit through the slots. So, the handguard is much too thick and quite heavy—almost 2 pounds—and the slots aren't wide enough. Also, the barrel threading isn't 1/2-28 like on most .223 barrels; it's larger—I haven't measured it yet.

If it’s anything like the 308 one the barrel threading is to big for a normal 223 rifle brake and too small for a 308 one
It’s some kind of proprietary sized thread so no other brake/or cap will fit
Is the brake made of aluminum on this one too?
The 308 version has an aluminum brake on it which I thought was odd

That sucks to hear, thanks for sharing though. Sell it and get the Taipan Evo Scout if you can't wait for the Makasi/Carmel.

The Adler looks like a much higher quality build than the Chimera, I’ve seen the Chimera disassembled and it turned me off from even considering it, the Adler though I was thinking of the .308 version but it didn’t have a full pic rail and the mag release is on the right side, the .223 has the mag release and bolt release on the left side which will make mag charges much easier. I really want a Makasi MK-15 but it’s nearly 3 times the cost!

It’s odd that they’re advertising the rail as MLOK, did no one test to see if anything fit? Are you able to install an MLOK accessory on the handguard if you hold the back piece from the inside and then pass the screw through to it from the outside if the screw is long enough that is? If not maybe a longer screw would work, then just put picatinny sections so you don’t need to take the handguard off every time to add an accessory.

So according to the comments the handguard is not MLOK? It says it is in the ad.

If it easily achieve 3-4 MOA with #### ammo, runs without jamming, and doesn't break after 2000 rounds, I'd consider that a good purchase in this country at this time. That may be asking too much though... Only one way to find out!

Yes,,,you need longer bolts and it will fit
