No it came with a small booklet that contains virtually no information. It’s like if you asked AI to make an owners manual containing only safety information and a parts list. It did direct me to their website for support… their website doesn’t even have info on the AD500 let alone the AD500a.

Still have no idea how to field strip this yet.

Help.

Fingers crossed mine arrives tmrw, likely Monday though. I'll try and share whatever I learn. Hoping my barrel isn't bent like one of our fellow Gun Nutz was 😅 that safety precaution for tightening the "spring cycle nut" (idk wtf to call it) every 250-rounds sounds absurd, wondering if some red Loctite or even blue would circumvent that.

I went looking for the thread with the bent barrel yesterday and I believe it’s been nuked.

Poor guy had to send it to SFRC for warranty... praying for a quick turn around for him. Only they handle the warranty apparently, not saying where he purchased it from though as I don't believe it's relevant. People were getting bent barrels on their Type 81M, $#1+ happens. What's the barrel profile, is it super thin? Does it come with a thread protector? Not a huge fan of brakes.

It does come with a brake. I’m not sure what to call the barrel profile, it’s not a pencil barrel

Hopefully it's not too much of a lottery to get one that works. I got rid of the Chimera primarily due to its poor accuracy, yet I've seen other reviews that had good accuracy.

I actually really liked the Chimera otherwise. I got the AD500A because I got sick of waiting for the Makasi. I've full confidence in the resale market if I end up not liking the AD500A, so it's not a big financial concern.

I just want a ~3 MOA semi auto 223 with crappy bulk ammo.
 
Bullseye North researched disassembly and sent me this:

Safety Check

  • Point the muzzle in a safe direction.
  • Remove the magazine.
  • Pull the charging handle back to check and clear the chamber
Hand guard and Gas System Removal

  • Remove the front M-LOK hand guard by unscrewing its fastening bolts using the appropriate Allen key provided with your rifle.
  • Locate the barrel/gas system retaining nut near the front of the receiver (resembling an AR-style barrel nut).
  • Use the factory-supplied wrench to loosen and unscrew this retaining ring.
Barrel and Bolt Carrier Removal

  • Slide the barrel and gas system forward and out from the front of the receiver.
  • Pop out the charging handle from the bolt carrier group.
  • Slide the bolt carrier assembly forward and out of the receiver channel.
Trigger Group Removal

  • Push out the two receiver takedown/trigger pins (note that one pin may be partially covered or located near the hand guard interface) from left to right.
  • Lift and pull the trigger housing assembly down and out of the lower receiver.
