where are all the fixed power scopes?

Sounds like a solid combo. Mine’s a .357 , but I went with the Strike Eagle since I wanted something that could handle a wider range of distances.

i have a few M8 leupold and FX-II and a couple weavers.

leupold seams to have dropped most of their fixed power scopes.

i have been hunting for a FX-II 4x rimfire with no luck. would also like another 2.5x ultralight to put on a single shot 30-30 i have.

who is making good fixed power scopes?

I have a FX-II Ultralight 2.5 on my 358 Win and its a great match for it's purpose ✔️ I'm also looking for another one for a 9.3x62 ... not easy to find I'm thinking ...

I like fixed scope too, 4x and 6x leupold they are a lot lighter than variable and less things to go wrong. That said o never really had anything go wrong with the variable I have. But the simplicity of a fixed scope is worth something!
 
One of my favourite scopes is the Leupold FX-II 6x36 with the LR duplex reticle. I’ve owned so many scopes over the years I’ve lost count. This one is by far my favourite, simple, easy, light. I found it made most of my shooting better overall, not all.

Osight has a new line of microprism's coming out that you might want to look at.

I'm not the biggest fan of the chevron's when the reticle is small, I don't mind some of their chevron's with more magnification and a big enough chevron to be useful to my eyes for holding on or over but I find their 1x prism chevron to small and would much prefer the new dot reticles they have on their new budget line which also looks to have better eye relief.

Looks like even Schmidt & Bender dropped their fixed scopes. Very little talk about fixed power scopes nowadays and much less that would actually purchase a new one. Variables are so good in the meantime there is no reason for a fixed scope. First focal plane will not have the shift in zero as second focal plane scopes have when changing magnification. Even so it is very small. I zero my 2fp scopes at highest mag and long range shot are at highest mag just to be sure.
I just checked Karl Kaps Germany, they actually still have fixed scopes on their Website. Optically they are great but I thought illumination was lousy and the one we had in 2.5-10x50 is mechanically broken, lying in the corner.

i managed a 5shot group a hair over 2.5” at 100yrds. i was pretty excited with that.

Oh wow... that's some shooting. I'm still working on getting five rounds under an inch at 100 yards. I have to keep my Strike Eagle set to 4x zoom, otherwise I can't see a damn thing. 😁

Thanks, I missed this thread—very interesting.

I tried a Crossfire red dot and a Spitfire prism, but eventually settled on a Strike Eagle LPVO. It gives me a somewhat a versatile setup. At 1x it works much like a red dot, and at 3–4x magnification I can actually see my follow-up shots.
 
Opticsplant will list fixed power scopes for you, but is missing a few. USoptics, athalon, SWFA and few others still make them.
I found lately the used market is a good source. I now am now around a 9:1 ratio of fixed to variable.
