Seeing that these pushing a grand, is the juice worth the squeeze today? I have a couple of red dots from the People's Republic but with very slight astigmatism, one pair the dot seems fine, the other slight crescent shape. Some folks say the Swedish optic is more forgiving and the dot is crisp?? Supposedly... My understanding Aimpoint was the industry standard, not sure if that holds true today? Too bad I can't find one to look though. Thoughts

I also have astigmatism. I have a few t-2s, and they're very crisp. I would assume the h-2 is similar. That being said, I also have a few vortex triumph dots on 22s. They are also crisp.

I grabbed a h2 off the ee for a good price, but I keep buying vortex sparc2s as well to throw on whatever might need it

I'd check one out in person before buying. I've had multiple Aimpoint H2 and T2 red dots, they didn't work for my slight astigmatism. I couldn't see one clear dot. I tried a Holosun 512 and its reticle was crystal clear.

I would be cautious about buying a H2 or any Aimpoint optic for that matter. Have you looked into their warranty coverage? If your Aimpoint craps out you'll need to send it to SWEDEN for repair/replacement only after they review and "approve" your case. God forbid if you're not the original owner as Aimpoint warranties are not transferable. Before sending my H2 off, I was told I'd need to fork out between $120-160 if they refuse my claim or the unit is beyond repair to get it back?! Aimpoint ain't no Vortex when to comes to warranty coverage. For the price tag of their units, you'd think they would be slightly flexible on warranty work.... but they're not.

not working for me the reason im selling one on EE.

I saw your post, that’s a good deal, the only issue is not with you but Aimpoint. Item is warrantied for 10 years to the original owner with original receipt and is not transferable. So if it pooped the bed 2 years from now to a new owner, it’s a paperweight. Good luck with your sale.

What are you using the red dot for?? I’ve used Aimpoint T1/T2 and PRO in a few applications. They are great however over the past few years my astigmatism in my left eye is more apparent with both eyes open. Eotechs however have been great and I don’t notice any blurring or reticule change. Maybe not the best fit for hunting but they are tough.

no worries and thank you. it is useable for me at the lowest level 3 max after it is a burst of stars ... but for the aimpoint warranty issue yes known to the original owner but some of my friends are still using the very old ones almost 20 years ...

I find having a circle-dot reticle helps a lot with astigmatism if you don’t mind a bit more cluttered sight picture. I would assume the same could be said about Aimpoint sights with the circle-dot reticle.

I recommend taking a look at Holosun, I’ve had good experiences with several of them as far as astigmatism goes and they’ll be much cheaper than Aimpoint.

well i broke it and use it at the range and even at 11 not burst on a black target at the range so back to use for me ... better than looking at it inside ... and really accurate at 50 meters. i will enjoy it.
