BTW, as a complete set, this piece has issues, so I'd avoid bidding on this one ...

Ah ha!! Time to show this baby off. One of my favorites in my collection. Unfortunately, the scope and the rifle do not match. But I don't care....

The scope is not set as you would usually see. I had to move it back compared to the image above or images shown in some books and on websites. The eye relief is terrible if it is too forward.

A No32T.P. won't help you as they are in their own range.

If I remember correctly, an "S" suffix indicates military contract. But correct me if I am wrong. Mine is 4451S.

Try adjusting the eye-piece until you get enough eye relief to focus properly. It worked for me....

The Canadian contract had the serial number with the S on the turret. This was the only one so marked. There is "rumour" of some others with an A prefix to the serial number being used in both the US and Canadian contracts and some MIGHT have gone to Australia as well...

Scope is serial numbered on tube as well as turret.

Warren....look at the #s.....If you still have the No.18 Mk I scope case (that is imaged in Clive's Without Warning).....we have a match.

Anyway , I picked this Lyman All American 2.5 with the post recticule for my '43 Longbranch "No4T wannabe" . I figure if I'm gonna fake it , I might as well fake it right...lol
