The O/U Revolution is Here

Ejectors would drive the price point up. I like it as is. I’ve always figured two shots is enough to deal with a bear or two legged predator, any more than that you’re in a situation most people wouldn’t fare well in, and hence no need for ejectors in my opinion. Fun to have for range use but not “need.” The single trigger takes all the brain work out in an adrenaline-filled situation; if you miss or fail to disable on the first shot, just squeeze a second time and if you still missed then the bear is already in top of you anyway. I have owned multiple Mossberg Maverick HS-12 shotguns over the years which could be this thing’s bare bones twin. 18.5” barrels are perfect balance between short/lightweight/maneuverability and not being ridonkulously short and dangerous/loud. 18.5” barrels also balance well in the hands. The wood makes it not “scary” (as opposed to the evil black HS-12). I think they’ve got a winner here.
“not needed” “scary”???
wtf?
if someone wants a neutered shotgun they buy one, if a maker advertises a “combat” shotgun there are certain expectations from folks looking for such a thing, one would be ability to rapidly reload a gun that has a disadvantage of only holding two shells

Haha, this is very funny. You truly think that over/under is really a combat shotgun.

Honestly it's about keeping the cost down.

absolutely, wait couple years and we will be using muzzleloaders combat rifles, cause thats all we will be allowed

what would be a price difference to have a ejector instead of a extractor? $50? $100? would that much price difference be a deal breaker for you?

You are 7 years late to think that it would cost 100$ to have ejector, it would cost at least double the price.

Does it eject or just extract? I know which I would expect on a "tactical" double but I am guessing they only feature extractors.
It is extractor. If we go to ejector it means having to use a steel receiver. Unfortunately costs go up, so it would mean retail price +149. When we offered both options for the S-Tactical, most chose the extractor option for the more economical price point :)

Darn it. I am actually interested.

Will there be a 28 inch version?

I will buy one.
No plans for 28" or other gauges. 18.5" was chosen as the ideal balance between weight, range, and versatility. Most of the powder is burned by 18" so velocity difference is only modest, yet the shotgun is significantly longer, heavier and more unwieldy. Pattern should be similar as well between both bbl lengths :)

I'm digging that, since it's beautifully executed especially with the walnut stock and forend.

Quick question: are those Picatinny rails removable, and do they come with plug screws maybe?
Picatinny rails are removable, they are held in place by roll pins

Not possible to have ejectors at 599 price point. It would be 748, and most people are saying no at that price point.
It looks like a great premium option compared to slightly lower cost options.

I understand the dilemma on pricepoint, you are restricted. If it was at all possible and economical for your side, I would think offering a second - "barebones" upgraded steel model could satisfy those wanting this feature. If possible charging a smaller premium like 649-699 and removing some material and cost with a shorter wood forend with 2-3 m-lok slots, maybe an optional choke kit, a non-hand select wood stock. Likely hard to balance the same way.

A man can dream
