The only woodleigh I have are 400gn .458 for my 458 win mag but didn’t even tried them yet.

What is a CT/P gold?

It's a Combined Technology bullet. Made by Nosler/Winchester. I've shot quite a few over the years and I find they are better than the Nosler Partition.

They still make the CT Ballistic Silvertip which is a version of the Nosler BT. And I shoot lots of them too. It looks to be the 2nd from the left.

The idea of bonding core to jacket happened long before the Accubond came about! Soldering the core and jacket together was invented from an elk hunter in the 70s And then came the Trophy bonded bear claw and the Swift A frame then polymer tips all long before the Accubond. So the Accubond being introduced in 2003 is the newer kid on the block with the best of many ideas combined into this projectile. Accubond is the copy of other manufacturers.

I like that the polymer tip is bigger in diameter on the Swift Scirocco as opposed to the Interbond, tougher bullets can sometimes struggle to open so having a bigger meplate is an advantage in my opinion.

The stepped jacket of the inter bond is evident in gel tests I've seen recently, certain frontal petal but slowed expansion later on there .
I agree with the slightly wider cavity /tip

I don’t know what the supply situation is with the Woodleighs is these days, and what is actually being made at all at the moment.

I do know that if I lived in Australia and wanted a bullet for general purpose hunting ( lets call that 300 and in and somewhere around 1000 pounds and down) I could shoot Woodlieghs and only Woodleighs and never blink. Part of that is economics and part of it is they are just that good. What with different countries of origin and import duties Woodleighs cost less in Australia than hornady Interlocks, and not by just a little little. Imported designer bullets were right off the chart and probably still are for all I know.

I have a 30 cal, 180 grain Scirocco II recovered from a Bull Moose I shot a while back.
It is a classic mushroom, and devastated the lungs of the moose. The shot was about
100 meters, and my 308 Norma mag starts that bullet at just over 3100 fps. I was
impressed with the way the bullet looked when recovered. Dave.
