I'm pretty sure that this "aluminum" gun case is actually an aluminum frame with cheap flimsy fibreboard panels on front and back and along the sides. If you think this will be an alternative to something like a Pelican...think again...

I use this type of case and they work perfectly fine for range trip. Unless you trow your gun case at arm lenght - there is no need for a Pelican case. Anyway Pelican case are general case -
A NANUK gun case is 100% better but no lighter. If someone travel by air - then a stong case is advised. But what most shooter do..most move their guns to the range or for an occasional hunting trip.
No need for a $400-500 gun case then.
