Namibia Safari with 338 Win Mag

For those of you that have hunted Africa, I'm looking for advice on what bullet to load in my 338 for plains game. Planning on Kudu, Nyala, Gemsbuck, Zebra, Impala, Wildebeast and Warthog. I have TSX, Partitions and Accubonds available in 225 grains. What would you choose assuming it shoots well?

I’ve used those three bullets in the 338 Win. If that’s what you have I’d try them is the opposite order you listed them and hope I never got to the copper.
On the other hand, African trackers are a wonder to behold, and the Barnes will improve the chances of seeing that in action😉 There’s some value in that.
That only thing on your list that resembles tough is the wildebeeste, they can soak it up and cover some ground.

LOL - I'm hoping to see the trackers in action a lot more before I shoot than after!

In the right conditions or terrain you can get an interesting tracking style hunt out of wildebeest. Part of why they are sometimes referred to as poor man’s buffalo I suppose. That and the regulation amount of horns and hooves, and predominately black colouration. Chances of one taking a swing at you are almost nothing which is a bit of a downside, but you can’t have everything😂

They are a fantastic bullet if you’re into penetration, dig deep and still hit hard. They can be a bit tough to get to shoot; in my experience they are either going to shoot or not and you’ll find out in a heck of a hurry which way it’s going to go. Mechanical accuracy is highly over rated, but I’ll admit that bullets that tend be easy to develope a load for tend to be endearing. I’ve used tons of them in 257 and 270 Weatherby and more than a few out of various 30 cals.
We had a bit of a culling game going where I was expected to kill select animals out of the herds, and not kill or wound the one behind it, but often enough the right two would line up. Sure you can do that with a mono or really an old 303 British but then you probably have to look for both of them😂 I’ve never recovered a single Scirroco, ever.
