Anyone getting ready for trapping?

All the snow we got last year put a damper on us getting round and setting a lot of snares. Even my “big quad” can am outlander couldn’t power through, spent more time stuck and winching our selfs out then anything. So I just picked up this little beast. It will keep me and boys running snares all winter long.IMG_0467.jpeg

Those ole' Enticer sleds were pretty good machines in their days. They still should work very well if it runs....:)

Did the course 18 months ago, got my private land license, bought traps and snares and looking forward to starting again. Boiled traps and snares today, building marten and fisher trap boxes which is new to me as I trapped farmland and water when I was a teenager. My daughter just did her course this winter, but unfortunately she lives across the country from me so we aren't going to be able to trap together.

I forgot how much I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the late fall and early winter.

Excellent Matt, we used to used a newer version of the Yamaha Enticer in 1995 (two-up), for cougar guiding. Although it was an awesome and reliable snowmobile, it was very tippy with a second passenger behind you....:ROFLMAO:

Especially when the hunter weighed 300 pounds and had zero sled experience.......:)

I know the exact sled you are taking about we had one probably 20 years ago. Even on the quad I am teaching my boys how to ride on the 2 up seat properly for that exact reason. Nothing worse then the passenger not leaning when they need to
